Feature to sync tax and duties each as a separate line item in Xero invoice - Xero Bridge app
This feature syncs the total tax of the order as a line item as well as the duties as a line item in Xero invoice. To sync the duties as a line item is an optional field depending on the business.
1. Our app has a feature to sync taxes as a separate line. The line item "Shopify tax" will be created in the Xero invoice and taxes will be recorded to that line. You need to provide us with a liability account to which you wish to sync the taxes so taxes will be synced to that account.
If you want any specific country to be excluded from creating the tax as a line then this feature can be customised this way.
For example, if you need to create the tax as a line item for countries other than the UK then this feature can be customised so tax for the UK orders will not be synced as a line item but will be synced as per the app settings.
2. If duties are imposed in Shopify order and there is a need to sync it then below part of this feature will be useful.
Along with the tax as a line item if you want to sync duties as a separate line then this requirement can be achieved with this feature.
With duties field added in this feature, our app will sync duties received from Shopify order to sync as a line item in Xero invoice. The line item "Duties" will be created in the Xero invoice and duties will be recorded to that line.
Shopify provides us duties data as revenue data collected from customers so this needs to be recorded in the revenue account. If you want to set up this feature for your store then provide the revenue account in which you would like to record the collected duties so this feature can be set.
