Feature to sync the order and its payment in payment currency of an order - Xero Bridge app
This feature syncs the order and its payment in payment currency of an order.
This feature is useful when payment of the order is received in currency other than the Shopify store currency and you need to sync the invoice and payment with payment currency.
By default, when an order is paid in Shopify, our app syncs that order with the order currency that our app receives from Shopify order and also the payment of the order is synced with the order currency. Same thing applies for refund. Our app creates the credit note with the order currency and the payment of the refund is also synced with the order currency.
For example,
1. Order: The order has been placed in GBP currency, while the payment of that order is paid in EUR in Shopify. Our app will create the invoice in Xero in GBP currency and payment will also be synced with GBP currency.
2. Refund: The order has been placed in GBP currency, while the payment of that order is paid in EUR in Shopify and this order is refunded. Our app will create the credit note in GBP currency and payment of the refund will also be synced with GBP.
However, our app has a feature to sync the order and its payment in payment currency of an order. In case of refund, the credit note and its payment will also be created in payment currency. After configuring this feature, it will work as below.
For example,
1. Order: The order has been placed in GBP currency, while the payment of that order is paid in EUR in Shopify. Our app will create the invoice in EUR currency in Xero and payment will also be synced with EUR currency.
2. Refund: The order has been placed in GBP currency, while the payment of that order is paid in EUR in Shopify and this order is refunded. Our app will create the credit note in EUR currency and payment of the refund will also be synced with EUR.
This feature can be set only on the basis of payment method (gateway). You need to let us know the name of the payment method for which you have to apply this feature and also the payment currencies in which you receive the payment of the orders.
For example, for Shopify payment method orders you receive the payment in AUD, USD, CAD and you want to sync those orders and its payments in payment currency then you need to provide us this information.
