Web Connector Errors
1. A QuickBooks company data file is already open and it is different from the one requested or there are multiple company files open
The Quickbooks web connector returns this error if multiple Quickbooks files are open. To fix this issue please log out of Quickbooks and make sure that no other Quickbooks file is open. Close the Quickbooks account from the background as well. Then re-login to Quickbooks with the admin user credentials and run the web connector.
This error may also occur from QuickBooks if the web connector is run from a different device. For example, there are two workstations A and B. The integration between Shopify and QuickBooks desktop is set up on workstation A, however, if you run the web connector on workstation B then above mentioned error will occur. This error occurs due to the conflict in communication between the QuickBooks and the web connector. Please make sure to run the web connector from a dedicated device i.e. from the device on which the integration was being done.
