Feature to Sync Payment from QuickBooks to Shopify for Unpaid Orders
Overview:
For unpaid orders, this feature enables seamless synchronization of payment statuses from QuickBooks to Shopify. It is particularly useful in scenarios where an unpaid Shopify order has been synced to QuickBooks, and the corresponding payment is later received in QuickBooks, marking the invoice as fully paid.
Detailed Information:
In a standard workflow, once payment is received and the QuickBooks invoice is marked as paid, merchants would need to manually update the payment status of the related Shopify order. However, with this feature enabled, that process becomes automatic. As soon as the invoice is fully paid in QuickBooks, the associated Shopify order’s payment status will be automatically updated to "Paid" by our app—eliminating the need for manual intervention. Below is the visual representation of this feature’s workflow.
To activate this functionality, users must subscribe to the Payment Sync from QuickBooks to Shopify feature. Click here to learn how to subscribe to this feature.
Key Note:
- Only unpaid Shopify orders will be updated through this feature.
- The order status in Shopify will only be changed when the corresponding invoice in QuickBooks is marked as fully paid.
- Partial payments made in QuickBooks will not be reflected in Shopify.
- Any updates or changes made to the invoice after it has been marked as paid will also not be synced back to Shopify.
