Mapping Payment Terms in Invoices

  • Pradip Ghanghar

Overview:

This feature is useful for managing payments in QuickBooks when invoices are meant to be paid at a later date based on the agreement between the seller and the buyer. Our app uses QuickBooks payment terms and maps them to the invoices synced from Shopify, depending on the option you select in this feature.

Detailed Information:

To automate payment terms mapping, please subscribe to the feature “Map QuickBooks Terms to Shopify Orders” from our app.

Within this feature, you will see two options. You will need to choose one based on your business requirements:

  1. Apply a Single QuickBooks Term to All Invoices
This option lists all payment terms available in QuickBooks Online. The term you select from the dropdown will be applied to every order synced as an invoice in QuickBooks.

  1. Dynamic Term Mapping Based on Shopify Order Terms
With this option, the payment term is mapped dynamically based on the term associated  with each order in Shopify.
Example: If an order in Shopify has a payment term of 15 days, our app will automatically map it to the corresponding QuickBooks term “Net 15”.
