QuickBooks Online Disconnected Without User Action

Overview:
In some cases, QuickBooks Online may become disconnected from our app without any action taken by the user. When this happens, orders will stop syncing to QuickBooks.
There is no need to uninstall and reinstall the app to resolve this issue.

Detailed Information:

Why Does This Happen?

The most common reason for this disconnection is that the user who originally set up the integration has been deleted or made inactive in QuickBooks.

When this situation occurs, QuickBooks returns an authentication failure error during data sync.

As a result, orders stop syncing.

How to Resolve the Issue

To restore the connection, simply reconnect your QuickBooks Online account using active user credentials by following the steps below.

  1. Go to Shopify → Apps → QuickBooks Bridge → Settings

  2. Click Connect to QuickBooks

  3. Select the same QuickBooks company

    • Make sure you are already logged into QuickBooks Online in another browser tab.

    • You will only need to select the company name to proceed.

  4. Once the connection is successful, you will be redirected back to the Settings page of the app.

Important:
Please do not reconfigure the app settings at this time.

What Happens Next?

  • After QuickBooks is successfully reconnected, notify our support team.

  • We will:

    • Restore your previous app settings

    • Sync all pending orders that were not synced during the disconnection
