Overview:

Sync Only Paid Orders makes sure only fully paid orders reach QuickBooks. Unpaid orders are not synced until they are marked as Paid in Shopify.

Use it if you:

  • Take payment later, such as with manual payments, bank transfers, cash on delivery or payment terms.

  • Capture payments manually after authorization.

  • Do not want unpaid or cancelled orders to create invoices or sales receipts in QuickBooks.

How it works

When the feature is on, the app checks each order’s payment status in Shopify before syncing it.

Shopify payment status

Synced to QuickBooks?

Paid

✅ Yes

Pending

❌ No, waits until paid

Authorized

❌ No, waits until paid

Partially paid

❌ No, waits until paid

Voided

❌ No

No payment status

❌ No, waits until paid

When a skipped order is marked as Paid in Shopify, it syncs to QuickBooks automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

How to turn it on

  1. Open Parex Bridge for QuickBooks in your Shopify admin.

  2. Go to Feature List and open the Orders tab.

  3. Under Free Features, find Sync Only Paid Orders.

  4. Click Add.

The feature applies to new orders from then on.

How to turn it off

  1. Go to Feature List → Orders.

  2. Find Sync Only Paid Orders and click Remove.

Orders then sync as usual, whatever their payment status.

Good to know

  • Orders that synced before you turned the feature on aren’t changed.

  • A voided order is never synced.

  • A partially paid order syncs only once the full amount is paid.
