How does the orders paid by "Gift Card" sync to Quickbooks?

  • Shashank Pandey

When you sell a "Gift Card" or pay an order through a "Gift Card" payment method, then our app creates a "Gift Card" line in Quickbooks. In that particular "Gift Card" line, the Quickbooks account mapped under the option "QuickBooks Account for GiftCard" will be used. Hence, the "Gift Card" sales will be recorded in that particular account. Please check the below screenshot.

If you have selected the correct Liability account, then any transactions that are paid through the Gift cards will decrease the Gift Card liability account. And if the customer purchases a Gift card, then the Liability account increases.
