Why balance is always out for Shopify holding account?

  • Shashank Pandey

Shopify deposits the payout amount a few days later than the sales. It depends on the Shopify payout cycle decided by Shopify when they will release payouts for a particular store. Generally, Shopify releases the payouts cycle-wise based on the order volume of a particular store. Our app syncs payouts when it is available on Shopify.

There will always be some balance in the Shopify holding account in QuickBooks because it is not actually available to you until you receive the transfer from Shopify. This amount changes based on the sales each day but there will be a balance.

There will always be some amount pending in your holding account. If you do not receive any orders for a few days and there is no pending payout, in this case only the balance will become Zero.
