Feature to balance the order amount by entering a rounding adjustment in the invoice - Xero Bridge app

  • Chirag Patil

This feature balances out the order by entering a rounding adjustment in the invoice.

Sometimes there might be a rounding issue with the amount of an invoice in Xero. This is because of a known issue with Xero. This happens when an order is entered through any of the apps and the amounts of products are inclusive of Tax. This does not happen in all the amounts but does happen in a few of them.

e.g This will happen if a product is priced at $9.95 but will not happen if it is priced at $9.9 or $10.

Also, this happens only when invoice is entered through any app. It does not happen if you enter the same details in Xero manually.

To overcome this situation, this feature can be set to balance out the order by entering a rounding adjustment in the Invoice.

For example, if Shopify order is having the amount 10.98 and invoice in Xero is with 10.97 then a line item will be added in the invoice in Xero which will show "Shopify Rounding Adjustment" in description field and the amount for this item will be 0.01. To set this feature, you need to provide the account in which you want to sync the rounding adjustments.
