Contact Name Matching by customer field - Xero Bridge app

By default, our app matches Customer's First name and Last name from Shopify to Contact name in Xero. However, this feature can use Shopify order data field (e.g Company name, email etc.) to match contact name field of Xero.

For example,

1. If this feature is set on the basis of company name then our app will match the company name from Shopify to contact name field in Xero. If the company name of the customer in Shopify matches exactly with the 'Contact Name' field in Xero then the customer will be mapped otherwise a new customer will be created in Xero.

If you want to set this feature on the basis of company name then we can use either Billing Address -> Company Name or Shipping Address -> Company Name based on your preference.

If there is no company name from Shopify then it will use 'First Name' and 'Last Name' to match.

2. If this feature is set on the basis of customer email, it will match the email of the customer in Shopify against the Xero display name field. When an email of customer from Shopify is matched exactly with display name field of Xero then that contact name will be mapped otherwise a new customer will be created.

If there is no email available in Shopify order then it will use 'First Name' and 'Last Name' to match.

Combination of multiple values is also possible to display and match with the 'Contact Name' field in Xero. e.g 'First name Last name - Email', 'First name Last name - Phone number' etc.
